Hollywood prefers cowardice over courage; witless whiners to motivated individuals; gutless wimps and hollow phonies to men who know the meaning of self-sacrifice and integrity. That’s the only conclusion one can draw after seeing Hollywood’s recent plethora of anti-military films.

That particular discussion kept coming to mind when I thought more about the implications of what went on in that vid: A few bungling wannabe snipers shooting ineffective weapons, if they tried this in a city the local police might have taken them down and arrested them without anyone dying that day, and the only acceptable choice here is to call down air support to destroy what looked like centuries of architecture and causing what might or might not (who knows? no one could get away for a different view) be any number or sort of collateral kills.

Maybe the intention was that those guys were just providing cover fire and when stepping out you were being killed by the real sniper whose location is never known beyond "in that building somewhere". In such case I suppose it's just a simple problem of gameplay railroading which might be excusable as part of a built-in tutorial.

But then again, if the cover-fire guys could hit you more or less just fine while you were under the roof, why not the sniper?
