The slogan "Every mother, a willing mother. Every child, a wanted child" is Dr. Morgentaler's. The cancer* I quoted in the OP twists this so that every pregnant woman should be "re-educated" into wanting a child.

Interestingly enough, he actually gives his exact reasoning elsewhere in the NP comments (found while googling for the wording of the slogan):

God's plan for motherhood is inseparable from his plan for fatherhood. No woman should be sleeping with a man unless the man is her husband. Obviously, the reverse is also true: no man should be sleeping with a woman unless she is his wife. And when society thus recognizes marriage, most mothers are willing mothers, and most children wanted children.

No doubt our public schools do seduce Canadian children to experiment, no doubt desperate adults will sin, no doubt our society gives every opportunity for lust, no doubt lust completely controls the rapist's being--what's the solution? Hate the child even more, and kill it? Or help the mother to become a more willing mother and CONTINUE TO NURTURE her child?

How can we be so stupid? Every child should be a wanted child; every mother should be a willing mother. Mothers, don't let anyone kill your children!

I really hate the idea that a woman does not own herself even after she is legally old enough to do so. (Whether or not she is married!)

Also, it looks like he is trying to relate things that are not exactly related.

The rest is just supporting cultural context, but of the very sort of culture that no one in their right mind would espouse in a UDHR (http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html)-ratifying state.

For future reference/anyone who might read this later and get the wrong impression: I do agree with the premise that the fully autonomous individual is a myth, and that every freedom or constraint placed on anyone must be considered in the context of one's surrounding social, economic, and physical environment. I am not advocating any position where a well-defined Individual sits in their little fortress of solitude making Rational Self-Interesting decisions subject only to their own Inviolate Will.
